This course provides the delegate with knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and appropriate emergency response actions to take should the requirement for emergency use arise.
The course involves theoretical and practical training, with demonstrations where necessary. It consists of a series of explanations and demonstrations which will identify what they need to know and do. This will be followed by practical exercises that will allow delegates to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding and emergency Response skills. Delegates will be assessed against the learning outcomes using direct observation and a multiple-choice written test.

The fundamental differences between rebreather and CA-EBS (technology and use)
Delegates must possess a valid BOSIET/FOET/HUET or T-BOSIET/T-FOET/T-HUET (with EBS) certificate or equivalent prior to attending the CA-EBS Initial Deployment Training program. Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.
100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
