Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET)

This course is designed to meet the further offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry. Delegates have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practice during drills, exercises, and emergency offshore training.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The FOET training program is designed for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry. Delegates must have attended a BOSIET course and wish to maintain their current certification for working in the offshore oil and gas industry.

The course involves theoretical and practical training, with demonstrations where necessary. The objectives of the FOET are that delegates will be able to:

• Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching.
• Demonstrate that they can use basic firefighting equipment effectively, and use self-rescue techniques in low visibility and completely obscured visibility situations e.g. smoke-filled areas.
• Demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid.

Delegates must have a valid (in-date) OPITO approved BOSIET/TBOSIET/FOET/TFOET/ BOSIET (with CA-EBS)/FOET (with CA-EBS) certificate. They must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training.

• Participants must demonstrate the ability to read and write English
• An existing valid OPITO BOISET Certification  
• Participants are required to submit a valid form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification accepted.
  • National Identification Card
  • International Passport
  • Nigerian Armed Forces identification card
  • A photo Identification card issued in Nigeria by the Federal State, or Local Government, Ministries
  • Departments and Agencies
  • Driver’s License with a photo of the driver issued by FRSC

100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
