This course is designed for oil and gas personnel travelling to oil and gas installations/facilities via helicopter. It will prepare delegates travelling via helicopter with the specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements, basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of an emergency – with a specific focus on escaping the helicopter following ditching.
The objectives of the HUET Training are that delegates will be able to demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching. The course involves theoretical and practical training, with demonstrations where necessary.
Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.
100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
