This course is designed to train personnel in the proper actions involved in taking command of, launching, and handling of a survival craft during an emergency evacuation/abandonment. It provides the training for candidates in Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (Other Than Fast Rescue Boats) in accordance with Section A-VI/2, Paragraph 1.6 Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW 2010 convention.
The course involves theoretical and practical training, with demonstrations where necessary.
COURSE CONTENT
Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.
Successful participants will be issued a certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (Other Than Fast Rescue Boats) in accordance with Regulation VI/2 Section A-VI/2, Paragraph 1.6 Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW Convention as amended.
100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
