HELIDECK EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM LEADER TRAINING

The Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader training (HERTL) is designed to provide delegates with intensive knowledge in the principles of responding to the emergency as a leader of a helideck team on the offshore installation. Delegates must have an in-date Helicopter Emergency Response Team Member certificate. 

The syllabus focuses on: 

• Theory
• Legislation
• Leadership
• Human factors
• Breathing apparatus
• BA control as relevant to the helideck
• Helideck rescue and firefighting facilities
• Emergency response scenarios
• NUI emergency response

Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.

• Participants must demonstrate the ability to read and write English
• Participants are required to submit a valid form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification accepted.
  • National Identification Card
  • International Passport
  • Nigerian Armed Forces identification card
  • A photo Identification card issued in Nigeria by the Federal State, or Local Government, Ministries
  • Departments and Agencies
  • Driver’s License with a photo of the driver issued by FRSC

100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
