Course Overview

The Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training program equips Offshore Helideck Assistant with the knowledge, understanding, and skills required to perform an emergency response team member role in offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies. The main objectives are for delegates to fully understand the role and responsibilities of a Helideck Team Member and practice responding to a variety of helideck fire-fighting and non-firefighting emergency scenarios in a training environment.

Delegate Pre-requisites

Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Participants must demonstrate the ability to read and write English
  • Participants are required to submit a valid form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification accepted.
    • National Identification Card
    • International Passport
    • Nigerian Armed Forces identification card
    • A photo Identification card issued in Nigeria by the Federal State, or Local Government, Ministries
    • Departments and Agencies
    • Driver’s License with a photo of the driver issued by FRSC

Additional Course Information

100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
