Course Overview

The RIGPASS  Program is a standardized safety orientation program for personnel preparing for any operating environment, site, onshore and offshore. Completion of an IADC RIGPASS accredited program confirms that personnel has met basic requirements defined by safety and training professionals.

Course Objectives

The RIGPASS SAFETY  AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS TRAINING will help to:

  • Provide awareness-level training in safe operations for land-based and offshore facilities.
  • Build awareness of each worker’s responsibility to protect their own safety and the safety of their co-workers, the public, and the environment.
  • Inspire an active safety mindset that asks questions, stops the job when safety is not assured and looks for ways to increase the safety of work operations.
  • Prepare workers for additional training in safe operations and company policies and procedures.

Delegate Pre-requisites

Candidates must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Participants must demonstrate the ability to read and write English
  • Participants are required to submit a valid form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification accepted.
    • National Identification Card
    • International Passport
    • Nigerian Armed Forces identification card
    • A photo Identification card issued in Nigeria by the Federal State, or Local Government, Ministries
    • Departments and Agencies
    • Driver’s License with a photo of the driver issued by FRSC

Additional Course Information

100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
