Tropical Further Offshore Emergency (T-FOET) Training

This course is designed to provide delegates with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practice during drills, exercises and emergency training offshore. Delegates must have attended a T-BOSIET course and wish to maintain their current certification for working in the offshore oil and gas industry.

The course involves theoretical and practical training, with demonstrations where necessary. The objectives of the T-FOET are that delegates will at the end of the training, be able to;

• Demonstrate in a simulated environment their ability to use safety equipment and follow procedures in preparing for and during helicopter emergencies (with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching)
• Demonstrate that they can use basic firefighting equipment effectively
•  Use self-rescue techniques in low visibility and completely obscured visibility situations e.g. smoke-filled areas.
• Demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid.

Delegates must hold a valid (in-date) OPITO approved T-BOSIET/T-FOET/BOSIET/FOET certificate. They must be fit and able to complete all aspects of training. This course is physically demanding and candidates will be required to complete a medical declaration prior to course commencement besides being in possession of a current offshore medical certificate.

• Participants must demonstrate the ability to read and write English
• Participants are required to submit a valid form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification accepted.
  • National Identification Card
  • International Passport
  • Nigerian Armed Forces identification card
  • A photo Identification card issued in Nigeria by the Federal State, or Local Government, Ministries
  • Departments and Agencies
  • Driver’s License with a photo of the driver issued by FRSC

100% class attendance and full participation in all practical exercises are required for the issuance of the certificate
