This comprehensive BOSIET certification prepares delegates for emergency situations, providing the knowledge and skills needed to work safely in the offshore environment.

Our OPITO-approved BOSIET training covers critical safety topics including helicopter safety, sea survival, fire fighting, and emergency first aid. Delegates receive hands-on training using state-of-the-art simulation equipment at our Deep Water Simulation Training Center (DSTC) in Port Harcourt.

Course Objectives

• Correctly use safety equipment including life jackets, survival suits, and breathing apparatus.
• Perform helicopter safety checks and understand pre-flight and in-flight procedures.
• Escape from a helicopter following ditching using approved HUET techniques.
• Demonstrate sea survival techniques including life raft boarding and emergency signaling.
• Identify and respond to offshore fire emergencies using appropriate fire fighting equipment.
• Administer emergency first aid including CPR and basic life support.
• Perform emergency abandonment procedures and life raft deployment.
• Use the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) during helicopter escape.
