• Correctly use safety equipment including life jackets, breathing apparatus, and emergency breathing systems in tropical conditions.
• Perform pre-flight safety checks and understand helicopter emergency procedures for tropical operations.
• Escape from a helicopter following ditching using approved HUET techniques in tropical water conditions.
• Use the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) during helicopter escape.
• Demonstrate sea survival techniques including life raft boarding and emergency signaling in tropical waters.
• Work effectively as part of a team during helicopter emergencies in tropical environments.
• Understand the specific challenges of tropical helicopter operations.
